Game 4 Knicks Pacers

Knicks Aim to Even Series in Game 4

The New York Knicks overcame a 20-point deficit and staved off a 3–0 series deficit with a 106–100 victory in Game 3. Karl-Anthony Towns led the charge with 24 points, including a dominant 20 point, 8 rebound fourth quarter. Jalen Brunson added 23 points but struggled, shooting 6-for-18. Brunson was the only Knick with a negative plus-minus (-6). That means the team was outscored during his time on the court. Game 4 is pivotal. A Knicks win knots the series at 2–2, shifting momentum back to New York. A Pacers victory puts them one win away from the NBA Finals.

📊 Series: Pacers lead 2–1

On the Pacers’ side, bench contributions stood out. Obi Toppin posted a remarkable +19 in just 14 minutes. Why he saw limited action is puzzling given his impact. Ben Sheppard was the only other Pacer with a positive plus-minus (+1) in 17 minutes. Indiana’s starters looked great in the first half and took a 55-35 lead with around three minutes left in the second quarter. The Pacers led at the end of the half, 58-47. That all changed in the second half, where the Knicks outscored them 61-44 to win by six.

🔍 Game 4 Outlook

The Knicks have thrived on the road this postseason with a 6–1 away record. Their resilience was on full display in Game 3 as they overcame a 20-point deficit to keep their hopes alive in this series. Consistency remains key and the team cannot rely on late game heroics if they want to advance to the NBA Finals.

The Pacers need to rediscover their offensive rhythm. After a great start to the series, their shooting cooled down during in Game 3. They need to maximize bench contributions from impactful players who can make a difference like Toppin.
