AP Top 25 College Basketball Rankings – Released December 2, 2024
Kansas retains the top spot after another dominant week. Auburn climbs two spots to take over at #2, closely followed by Tennessee at #3 after a four-spot jump. Kentucky and Marquette round out the top five, both remaining unbeaten. Gonzaga slips four spots to #7. Purdue makes a big move, breaking back into the top 10 at #8.
Wisconsin moves up four places to #11. Florida climbs five spots to #13. Alabama slips a spot to #10 after a narrow loss to Oregon, who holds steady at #12. UConn somehow stays in the rankings at #25 after a horrible week. San Diego State enters the Top 25 at #24 following a win over Houston, who drops 11 spots to #17.
This week highlights the growing strength of the Southeastern Conference, with Auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, and Florida all in the top 15.
