NFL Sunday Night Showdown: Bills vs. Giants

The Sunday Night Football showdown between the Buffalo Bills and New York Giants are facing some major injury hurdles. The Bills, standing at 3-2, are missing three key defensive starters – Matt Milano, DaQuan Jones, and Tre’Davious White – all on injured reserve. They’re hungry for a win after a tough loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London.

Giants Season Not Getting Any Easier

On the Giants’ side, it’s not looking rosy at 1-4. They’re without their star quarterback, Daniel Jones who is sidelined with a neck injury. The Giants are currently rock bottom in the NFL’s offensive rankings and almost dead last in scoring, on top of a three-game losing streak.

The Giants are having a rough season compared to their playoff run just last year. And it’s not about to get any easier with the NFL’s toughest remaining schedule. The Giants have had their share of struggles, conceding over 30 points per game. Their offense is almost painful to watch, managing just over 12 points per game. Yet, it isn’t the worst; that honor goes to the Patriots with roughly 11 points per game, ranking dead last in the league.

Bills High Powered Offense

The Bills’ offense is a scoring machine, averaging just under 32 points per game and racking up over 390 total yards per game, ranking third and fourth in the league, respectively. On defense, they’re rock-solid, allowing only 16 points per game and giving up an average of 325 yards per game, ranking them sixth and twelfth, respectively.

Injury Woes Set Stage for High-Stakes Battle

The Giants are facing a real uphill battle in this matchup, especially with star players like Daniel Jones and Andrew Thomas out. The Bills have a slight edge in the all-time regular season series, leading 7-6. The last time the Giants visited Buffalo in 2015, they came out on top. The Bills won 28-14 in their last meeting in 2019. Look for the back door cover and take the ton of points with the NY Giants.
