Jets and Crystal Palace Charity Expand Girls Flag Football in London

The New York Jets and Palace for Life teamed up to host the Championship Day of the 2026 Jets NFL Girls Flag League in London.

The partnership marks the first collaboration between the Jets and Palace for Life, the official charity of Crystal Palace Football Club.

Held at the Crystal Palace FC Academy in South London, the event wrapped up the league’s fourth season after 10 weeks of competition involving more than 300 girls from 32 secondary schools across London.

Kingston Academy captured the championship with a 20-18 victory over Grey Court School in the title game.

Ella Fallahi Alvani of Kingston Academy earned Offensive MVP honors, while Olivia Green from Grey Court School was named Defensive MVP.

“To see it take root and flourish in the U.K. has been remarkable,” said New York Jets Chairman Woody Johnson.

The event also featured the unveiling of the first-ever Jets Flag Elite London roster, an all-girls travel team built around top players from the league.

According to the Jets, the initiative is designed to create more opportunities for girls to participate in sports while helping develop communication, strategy and leadership skills through flag football.

As part of the new partnership, Palace for Life and the Jets plan to expand the program in South London during 2027. Schools involved in the initiative will receive uniforms, practice jerseys, equipment and travel support.

The Jets say their total investment into girls flag football programs in London and Dublin has now surpassed one million dollars.

Flag football continues to grow globally and is set to debut at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
